Movie Monday: Upside Down

Typically, I dedicate Monday nights to watching a new movie.

I recently saw the film Upside Down.

I never heard or saw this film being promoted so I had low expectations. The movie was good. Not the greatest, but good. It won major super points with the stunning CGI visual effects.

The film, turns out, is a French-Canadian film and had a short and limited released in the US. I can see why. The plot was very Sci-fi with it's own rules that if the viewer didn't' get comprehend right away they would have been lost. Also, I could see the majority of the American public not enjoying things frequently upside down.

To me, the concept of a world being upside down was part of the charm of the movie. The scenes were nicely designed and the plot was very Dystopian based. The cool visuals and the neat-o concept won me over.

I would recommend this movie if you just wanted to unwind.
